Bruce Horsley is involved with the purchase and sale of privately owned businesses and divisions of public companies and the financing of privately owned businesses. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth and attends conferences, seminars and webinars to stay current with his knowledge in Mergers & Acquisition Services. Typical business purchasers include investors, entrepreneurs, synergy buyers and private equity firms from around the world. Typical business sellers have sales in the $2 million to $60 million range and are located in Ontario.

Bruce Horsley prepares business valuation reports for litigation purposes (family law, shareholder disputes) and for planning purposes (succession planning, income tax planning, family shareholder share transfers). He is a Chartered Business Valuator and attends conferences, seminars and webinars to stay current with his knowledge in business valuations and litigation support.
Bruce also performs specialized litigation consulting in preparing reports for Income for Support and Business Economic Losses. He has given evidence in court and for arbitration on numerous occasions and attended many successful mediations.
Bruce Horsley obtained an Honors Business Administration degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1977, and was employed by Ernst & Ernst, Chartered Accountants in September 1977.
He obtained his chartered accounting designation (CA) in 1980, and continued to work with the firm dividing his time equally between Corporate Finance, and Accounting and Auditing.
He completed his first transaction in 1981 and during the recession of that year he provided advice to many successful management buy-outs.
In 1983, he became full time in the Corporate Advisory Services work and was in charge of the practice for the Hamilton office of Ernst & Whinney.
Bruce Horsley obtained his Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) professional designation in 1987. He became Partner-In-Charge of the Corporate Advisory Services practice for the Hamilton office of Thorne Ernst and Whinney in 1989.
When Thorne Ernst & Whinney merged with Peat Marwick in 1989 and became KPMG Chartered Accountants, Bruce Horsley became a Corporate Advisory Services Partner of KPMG. Corporate Advisory Services included Mergers & Acquisitions work, business valuations and litigation support.
Bruce Horsley joined MacGillivray Partners in 1991 as Partner-In-Charge of the Financial Advisory Services practice for the Hamilton office. Within four years he joined Ernst & Young Chartered Accountants as Partner-In-Charge of Financial Advisory Services practice for the Hamilton office and later supervised Mergers & Acquisitions Consulting services, business valuations and economic loss reports for five offices of Ernst & Young.
In 1998 Bruce Horsley founded Horsley & Associates Inc. to perform Corporate Advisory Services work and he currently works there full time (20 years).
In June 2008 he obtained the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation from the Exit Planning Institute.
He obtained the CICA professional designation of IFA in 2000. In 2014 the CICA discontinued the IFA designation. In 2014 Bruce Horsley obtained the CFF designation (Certified in Financial Forensics) from the American Institute of CPA's.
In 2015 Bruce Horsley became a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Consultants, Valuators and Analysts (IACVA). A professional association dedicated to “valuation knowledge creation and sharing worldwide”.
In 2017, Bruce Horsley via training and a written exam became a Certified Value Builder of the Value Builder System.
Bruce Horsley has been involved in the presentation of numerous seminars to a wide variety of professional advisors; and is the author of articles on the purchase and sale of privately owned businesses, business valuations and litigation accounting..
Scott Vecile - B. Comm., MBA, CBV
Scott specializes in corporate finance and has experience in performing a range of services from assistance in selling business, acquisitions assistance and financial modeling for financings and transactions.
Scott obtained a degree in Commerce in 2005 form Ryerson University with a double major in Corporate Finance and Economics. He obtained an MBA from McMaster University in 2011 with a major in Strategic Business Valuation. He completed the Charted Business Valuator training program in 2011.
Scott has a track record of numerous successful business transactions.
Scott joined Horsley & Associates Inc. June 2012 to be involved in the purchase and sale of privately owned businesses. He joined a boutique M&A advisory firm in 2014.
